Each of us have feelings. Animals, as well as mankind share fear, hunger and pain. The voice of a wolf that has been shot is a sound that penetrates your body. Sleep eludes as you hear over and over the torturous cry . . .

An animal that has been left to starve and must eat the body of his life mate in order to survive suffers pain from his loss and will many times die from grief. Wolves bond for life . . .

Those that live after being run down by cars live in agony, fighting infection, and struggling to stay alive. Some are so desperate to escape the pain and so horribly in need of help they chew off the painful limb.  Doing all they can to aid themselves . . .

The helpless wolves that are in holding areas in dog shelters are killed. Some have been confiscated, many abandoned, strays running at large, and illegal pets-die from lethal injection. They do not go easily. They fight and scream, not understanding, unable to escape and finally in exhaustion, surrender to the needle . . .

God made them strong-true survivors. He must have known that one day man would turn his back to them.

Wolfrun Wildlife Refuge,Inc. needs each and every one of you to help us. We currently are housing 17 wolf hybrids and there are many more out there in desperate need. The faces above are only a handful of needy animals. Although they have found safety and healing at Wolfrun, the rescue is far from over. Now on the mend physically, it is time to heal them spiritually.  Running through wildflowers, napping in the sun, and running wide open-free from chains and walls!

THIS IS WHAT THEY NEED.
THIS IS HAPPINESS.
THIS IS A SUCCESSFUL RESCUE!
